Meet Carolanne!
I have an undergraduate degree in history from Canterbury Christ Church University and a Masters in early modern history from King's College London. I have experience in designing and delivering versatile and interactive programmes of study on a variety of subjects, including history, to large groups of students aged between 12-18. As such, I am experienced in recognising where students need the most support in their studies and I am able to ensure their needs are properly met, so they are able to get the most out of each session and reach their full potential.
Each of my sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the student and their individual learning style, so they are able to become more confident and comfortable in their studies. I take a transparent approach to tutoring so that each student and parent knows what will be covered in each session, to make sure their time is being used effectively. Each session I design comes complete with a set of objectives and outcomes that can be adjusted to suit the needs of each individual student. This means that I can take a proactive approach to how the information is delivered to the student. I can also help them to revise for topics in a way that meets their learning style, so they can reach their full potential.
In my spare time I enjoy a variety of different hobbies that consist of reading, going to museums/ galleries, as well as going to concerts. I take any opportunity I can to learn something new.
